چکیده

Herbicide resistance in weeds, including corn poppy (Papaver rhoeas L.), is an increasing problem compromising global crop production. The aims of this study were to evaluate the susceptibility P. populations Poland acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitors and elucidate their mechanisms resistance. Between 2017 2020, 157 seed samples collected nationwide a dose-response with various ALS-inhibiting herbicides was performed glasshouses. This revealed 14 resistant R/S ranges 2.3–1450.2, 9.5–398.5 2–2.5 for tribenuron, iodosulfuron florasulam, respectively. Eight them cross-resistant both tribenuron iodosulfuron, three one singly respectively, population had reduced florasulam only. In population, cross-resistance identified. ED50 many susceptible ALS close half recommended dose tested. seven out eight analysed, target-site Six amino acid replacements found (Ala197, Arg197, His197, Leu197, Ser197 Thr197). inhibitors, no mutations gene detected. An efficient anti-resistance strategy needed reduce development herbicide Poland.

Evolution and diversity of the mechanisms endowing resistance to herbicides inhibiting acetolactate-synthase (ALS) in corn poppy (Papaver rhoeas L.).

We investigated the diversity of mechanisms conferring resistance to herbicides inhibiting acetolactate synthase (ALS) in corn poppy (Papaver rhoeas L.) and the processes underlying the selection for resistance. Six mutant ALS alleles, Arg₁₉₇, His₁₉₇, Leu₁₉₇, Ser₁₉₇, Thr₁₉₇ and Leu₅₇₄ were identified in five Italian populations. Different alleles were found in a same population or a same plant....

Complete Chloroplast Genomes of Papaver rhoeas and Papaver orientale: Molecular Structures, Comparative Analysis, and Phylogenetic Analysis.

Papaver rhoeas L. and P. orientale L., which belong to the family Papaveraceae, are used as ornamental and medicinal plants. The chloroplast genome has been used for molecular markers, evolutionary biology, and barcoding identification. In this study, the complete chloroplast genome sequences of P. rhoeas and P. orientale are reported. Results show that the complete chloroplast genomes of P. rh...

Intoxication due to Papaver rhoeas (Corn Poppy): Five Case Reports

Introduction. In this paper, we aimed to present five Papaver rhoeas intoxication cases, which is very rare in the literature. Case 1. A 35-year-old female patient was admitted to our emergency room with the complaints of nausea, restlessness, and dyspnea developing 3 hours after eating Papaver rhoeas. On physical examination, her general condition was moderate; she was conscious and the vital ...

Cytotoxic Activity of Alkaloids from Papaver rhoeas growing in Lebanon

This paper represents the phytochemical properties of Lebanese Papaver rhoeas, from which five protopine alkaloids are isolated, namely; stylopine (1), canadine (2), sinactine (3), berberine (4), and epiberberine (5). This is the first report for the isolation of epiberberine (5) from the genus Papaver and canadine (2) from Papaver rhoeas, suggesting a new chemotype of Papaver rhoeas growing in...
